Dear Neighbors,
The crucial vote by the Town Council on whether to approve the redevelopment of 3641 Lawrenceville Rd (the Gullick property) is on the Agenda for the meeting from 6-8 p.m. on Tue., 7/21/26. We share the concerns some of you have raised: it feels like your comments at these public hearings are being ignored and the town is instead moving toward a predetermined outcome. Still, showing up in force at these hearings is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT -- the town needs to know that the community is vitally engaged, cares deeply about the outcome, and insists upon being heard. It's important that our elected officials continue to feel this heat.
Meanwhile, you should also know that your neighbors are forming two separate groups to pursue legal action: one focused on the Gulick property and one focused on the ETS campus (the latter is being formed as a nonprofit called "Cherish Lawrence"). Both will coordinate and communicate under the LPH Coalition umbrella and website when interests align.
Of course, legal action requires funding for counsel, so stay tuned; opportunities to donate in support of these actions will be coming soon.
With regards,
LPH Coalition
P.S. We need volunteers to print and deliver the below flyer to neighbors THIS WEEKEND and/or NEXT, so that anyone who isn't on our electronic distribution list will receive it. Please let us know if you can help!
